With more than a decade of deodorant formulating expertise under our belt, we know that when it comes to underarm rashes, in most cases it's not about the absence or presence of any one particular ingredient -- it's about how the overall formula acts on your skin. We've heard so many stories about how people react even to other brands' "sensitive skin" formulas. That's because other companies will just take out the baking soda and call it a "sensitive" version. We know it's not that simple.
Most underarm rashes are caused by moisture and friction. Whether it's friction from the actual deodorant you're using (hello scratchy sticks) or skin-to-skin friction (itchy!), skin becomes irritated, red/dark and raw. That irritation can then progress to topical infections (bacterial or fungal) that can be even harder to control. Keeping underarm skin dry and friction free is the key to keeping it happy!
When we formulated Pit Buddy, we added a nice dose of skin-soothing zinc oxide and a good amount of wetness-absorbing organic arrowroot powder. Zinc oxide does a great job of creating a protective barrier on skin and arrowroot powder cuts down on friction and moisture! We also eliminated coconut oil so those with allergies finally have an option!
If you're a heavier sweater or live in a humid climate, we recommend reapplying the cream, a powder, or corresponding Pit Putty Stick on top of it throughout the day to keep that wetness down.
The result? A "sensitive skin" deodorant that has been highly requested!

kind of dissapointed
I was somewhat disappointed because this deodorant didn't keep underarm odors at bay nearly as well as the 12 other non-sensitive deodorants that I use from B and Bee. I also purchased the rose scented one for sensitive skin, and it also wasn't as effective as the other non- sensitive deodorants that I own. I will say that I don't have sensitive skin. I ordered these because I love the B/B deodorants, and I wanted to try out new scents. I will continue to order from b and bee, but not from the sensitive group. By far my favorite deodorant from the non-sensitive group is Alomd coconut cream pit putty.

Great product!
I was a little unsure about the scent when I purchased this product, but it was the only sensitive deodorant available at the time. I actually do not think the smell is that bad. It's different than I think I would choose, and I'd love to pick another scent in the future, but this is good for now. I love how soft my under arms feel, and it is so much better than the other homemade deodorant I was using before. No Rash!! :) I am so glad I found company and that they helped to save my skin!!! As far as how effective it works - I do not sweat that much since being off commercial deodorants for a little less than a year now, so there is not that much dampness I have to deal with (and I used to sweat A LOT before I made the change). I also have been freakishly trying to detect BO, and I only smell the scent of the product which is nice, too. I'll definitely buy from here again when I get through this jar!

trying to live a healthy life
I have MS. I fight it with a strict diet that consist of eating raw organic vegetables, fruits, nuts and organic grass fed animals. I'm slowly changing what I put on my body too. Starting with this product. It works for me...and I'm a sweaty person too. I've used deodorants such as Secret and the crystal spray...they don't work for me. Secret deodorants only mask the odor...I can still smell myself. And the crystal spray takes away odors from my arm pits but weird enough not from my clothes. This cream here works both on my arm pits and on my clothes. No smell. I love this product. But I wish I wouldn't smell like my mom's herbal medicine. Please come up with a formula that would smell more feminine and sweet. Still I recommend this product to people who want to live a healthier life.

Deodorant cream
I have been using the product for about 2 weeks and it works pretty well, better than the stick deodorant form. It's not quite as good as the anti-perspirants that are full of chemicals but I'll sacrifice the slight step down in performance for a healthier product. I will continue to buy and use this product

I've been using pit putty creams for several years now. When I developed a sensitivity to baking soda a few months ago I was bummed until I tried the sensitive line. I found the sensitive formula to work as well or better for me and without any irritation! I am happy to see this line expanding its variety- now there needs to be a Jasmint and Lavender Vanilla option please!
