Feel the Organic Difference

Packed with powder

Pit Putty glides on silky and dry, not scratchy, waxy, or wet. That's because we've taken coconut oil and packed it with as much arrowroot powder as possible. The more powder we could get in your pit, the better! More powder means more wetness control (and thus odor control) but it also means less chance for skin reactions. Most underarm rashes with natural deodorants are caused by perspiration issues. Whether it's intertrigo (red raw rash starting in the crease of skin) caused by skin-to-skin friction. Or heat rash: when pimple-like bumps develop because wetness gets trapped in pores. Even fungal infections (caused by moisture) or infected sweat glands (big lumps) that need to be treated with medicines start with an abundance of perspiration. We wanted a product that does so much more than control odor and smells good. We wanted a product that gives you the best chance at keeping your underarm odor-free AND healthy.

Harnessing the power of essential oils and organic extracts

Instead of using lab-created chemicals to control odor, we use USDA certified organic essential oils and scent extracts. We believe in a holistic approach to controlling odor; certain scent blends work for different body chemistries. Our products are designed to work against odor first; the fact that they happen to smell amazing is a wonderful side effect.

Made in the US

We make our products in our own USDA certified organic production facility in Bountiful, UT. We don't outsource because we want to know exactly what's going in our products and can check for quality control from start to finish.

 Our Story

steph-revised.jpgIn 2007 I started Bubble & Bee Organic thinking it would be something I did on weekends at farmer's markets as a side endeavor. Much to my surprise, a year later I found myself hiring my first employee, being distributed in the Rocky Mountain region of Whole Foods, and running a bustling eCommmerce website. In 2008 I released 'Pit Putty and in 2009 earned Organic Certification. And while a lot's happened since then, one thing hasn't: reformulating.

'Pit Putty was one of the first USDA Certified Organic Deodorants on the market. There are a few others now, but many of the new brands that have popped up (and been sold to multi-national corporations) are natural-ish, but not certified organic.

At Bubble & Bee, we're not about being millionaires; we're just trying to do the right thing.

What does "doing the right thing" mean to us?

Using only pure and organic ingredients

At Bubble & Bee we're dedicated to using only organic and pure ingredients that we know and understand. Ingredients like coconut oil, arrowroot powder, and essential oils.

Having an open line of communication directly from company owner to customer

Since the beginning I've insisted on directly handling all of our customer service. When you send us an email, it goes directly to me, the owner of the company. No company directory or departments overseas. Have a question? Ask me, the (sole) owner of the company. If there's a problem, I want to know so I can fix it.

Formulating with skin health in mind, too

We think about three things when formulating: purity of ingredients, safety of those ingredients on skin, and effectiveness of the deodorant.

Sticking to USDA Organic Certification

We could probably increase our profit margin by switching to conventional ingredients, but that's not what we're about. Using organic ingredients ensures that we're offering the purest product possible and lets us sleep at night.
