More information coming soon!

We have a great base formula figured out, and now we’re running test batches to dial in the flavors. We think we’re close.

The next step is deciding on packaging. I’d really like to go plastic-free with it. Most toothpaste tubes are not recyclable as they contain a variety of substrates and layers. They’re also hard to clean out for recycling. They also require special filling and sealing equipment that we don’t have. We could outsource production, but that’s not how we roll. We like to know exactly what’s going in our products.

toothpaste jarI’m looking to glass as the answer since it’s inert, recyclable, and requires no special filling equipment. I have samples of different jars on the way that we can test and see what works best. I’m thinking a glass jar with a little scoop. Perhaps it comes in a larger glass jar with the option of smaller jars to divide up the product amongst your family. Just throwing around ideas here.

Once that’s decided I’ll get going on packaging graphics design and submitting for organic certification.

Since there are so many moving parts, as you can see, I don’t have a release date on it yet. But do know we’re working on it and hope to release it in the first half of this year, as soon as possible.
