With more than a decade of deodorant formulating and expertise under our belt, we know that when it comes to underarm rashes, in most cases it's not about the absence or presence of any one particular ingredient -- it's about how the overall formula acts on your skin. We've heard so many stories about how people react even to other brands' "sensitive skin" formulas. That's because other companies will just take out the baking soda and call it a "sensitive" version. We know it's not that simple.
Most underarm rashes are caused by moisture and friction. Whether it's friction from the actual deodorant you're using (hello scratchy sticks) or skin-to-skin friction (itchy!), skin becomes irritated, red/dark and raw. That irritation can then progress to topical infections (bacterial or fungal) that can be even harder to control. Keeping underarm skin dry and friction free is the key to keeping it happy!
When we formulated Pit Buddy, we added a nice dose of skin-soothing zinc oxide and a good amount of wetness-absorbing organic arrowroot powder. Zinc oxide does a great job of creating a protective barrier on skin and arrowroot powder cuts down on friction and moisture.
If you're a heavier sweater or live in a humid climate, we recommend reapplying the cream, a powder, or corresponding Pit Putty Stick on top of it throughout the day to keep that wetness down.

Cherry & Vanilla Pit Buddy
Tried the latest creation from the Bee Team and it is great. The scent is amazing, lasts a long time plus it is very gentle on the skin.

Effective and nice scent
On hot days or workout days I always use the Spearmint and Tea Tree Pit Putty. But on cooler days and lighter-activity days I’ve enjoyed the Almond Coconut. Now that I’ve tried the Cherry Vanilla Pit Buddy, I’ll also use it on the cooler/no workout days. It’s effective and the scent is nice - kind of like the gentle scent of cherry vanilla that one would get breathing in the effervescent fizz upon opening a bottle of cherry/vanilla soda pop. (Now I'm just hoping that the cherry scent extract will be added to the design-a-spray options lineup!)

Cherry and vanilla pit buddy
Just want to say thank you to Stephanie and her team for coming up with such an amazing deodorant in this cherry & vanilla deo! It smells wonderful and is the most effective organic deodorant I have tried so far. I love It! I am hopeful there will be a cherry and vanilla body butter available in the near future….:)

The only deodorant for me
I’ve been using this for years. In my opinion it’s the zinc that is the star of this deodorant. I tried the stick and the application just isn’t my cup of tea, but the Pit Buddy I’ve used for years and years and years. I love it, I don’t even experiment with other brands. My fav is almond coconut but this is def my second new fav. Haven’t had a second fragrance I adore but now I do. Buy it, no pilling, no white marks, disappears on dark skin, soothing, smells amazing and just an amazing products.
